RFP – Graphic Design Services for Signage at the Condado Lagoon Natural Estuarine Reserve (CLNER)

The San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership, or Estuario is seeking proposals for the graphic design of 6 signs that will be part of an interpretative trail at 6 points located at the Condado Lagoon Natural Estuarine Reserve.

The Service Provider will be responsible for the graphic design of 6 signs using the content that has been developed by an interpretative trail specialist. There will an QR code on each sign that will guide the user to water quality monitoring data and other information regarding the CLNER. The Service Provider will also provide the graphic design/art for the QR code pop up banner and other information/content being provided by the sign. The interpretative trail will be available for both guided and self-guided tours.

The Corporation for the Conservation of the San Juan Bay Estuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates the San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership, or Estuario. Established in 1994, we are the only tropical and non-continental location within the National Estuary Program (NEP) under Section 320 of the Clean Water Act. The Estuario operates as a partnership committed to their collective responsibility to restore and conserve the waters and associated ecosystems of the San Juan Bay Estuary and its watershed as a sustainable axis of social and economic development. Estuario’s work is guided by a master restoration plan known as the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) for the San Juan Bay Estuary.

SPECIFICATIONS

Graphic Design for 6 signs that are 98″ high x 17″. Each sign will have an iron stand and will be anchored to concrete. The signs are made of aluminum material and printing and UV Lamination for maximum protection. Locations of signs and draft of content for each sign are available upon request.

Each sign will have a QR code that will take the user to the Estuario’s Water Quality Monitoring Data on the estuario.org website as well as other educational information regarding the ecological importance and conservation of the CLNER.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Submit the proposal via email to [email protected] on or before 3/12/2024 Please include “Graphic Design- Signage Condado Lagoon” with the Service Provider’s name in the subject line.

The proposal must indicate the following items in a concise yet complete manner:

  1. Proposal summary
  2. Timeframe
  3. Contact information
  4. Detailed breakdown of costs- must include (if applicable) any additional fees
  5. Terms of payment

All proposals must be firm and include date of expiration

SELECTION PROCESS

An evaluation committee composed of Estuario staff will evaluate each proposal and the Service Provider will be selected based on responses to this RFP. Time Extensions

Estuario, in its sole discretion, may change and/or extend the deadlines for the above-mentioned task, and such changes and deadlines will be communicated to all applicants that sent an interest notification.

RESERVATIONS

This RFP does not commit Estuario to award a contract, to defray any costs incurred in the preparation of a pricing quote pursuant to this RFP or to procure or contract for work, and request additional information and/or clarifications.

PUBLIC RECORDS

All pricing quotes submitted in response to this RFP become the property of Estuario and public records, and as such may be subject to public review.

RIGHT TO CANCEL

Estuario, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel this RFP for any or no reason, in part or in its entirety, including but not limited to: the selection schedule, submittal date, and submittal requirements. If Estuario cancels or revises the RFP, all potential consultants will be notified in writing by Estuario.

PUBLIC INFORMATION

Selection announcements, contract awards, and all data provided by Estuario shall be protected from public disclosure. Consultants desiring to release information to the public must receive prior written approval from Estuario. Estuario, at its sole discretion, shall determine the release and disclosure of information related to this RFP and any final work products as a result of this.
