JULIO ENRIQUE MONAGAS NATIONAL PARK
ABOUT THIS FOREST:
Julio Enrique Monagas National Park is located in the industrial zone of Bayamón and provides opportunities for birdwatching, researching, counting flora and fauna, planting, interpretative and historic tours, summer camps, and scout activities. It has gazebos, swings, restroom facilities, paths, a park for children, lookout points, and water fountains. The Santa Ana Environmental Center provides educational programs for the appreciation, study, and conservation of the environment. It was established in 2006 by Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth, dasonomer by profession and member of the Natural History Society of Puerto Rico.
