ABOUT ESTUARIO
The Corporation for the Conservation of the San Juan Bay Estuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates the San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership, or Estuario. Established in 1994, we are the only tropical and non-continental location within the National Estuary Program (NEP) under Section 320 of the Clean Water Act. The Estuario operates as a partnership to restore and conserve the waters and associated ecosystems of the San Juan Bay Estuary and its watershed as a sustainable axis of social and economic development. The partnership is a trusted regional science-based organization, supported by engaged stakeholders. Estuario’s work is guided by a master restoration plan known as the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) for the San Juan Bay Estuary.
The San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership (Estuario) seeks proposals from qualified firms/individuals to produce a podcast to continue documentation of the Juan Mendez Creek Project. under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA).
PROJECT OVERVIEW AND SCOPE OF WORK
Estuario is seeking professional consultant(s) to produce a podcast series of at least 2 episodes per month, each approximately 10-15 minutes long, for a total of 8-10 episodes. The service provider should:
- Provide a studio for podcast recording, with all the equipment for a high-quality production (including but not limited to camera, microphones, reflectors, light control, etc.).
- Audio editing and sound design for all episodes.
- Conducting audio interviews, recording contributors, and voice tracking the host – including associated scheduling and logistics.
- Participation in content development meetings with Estuario team.
- Coordinating and collaborating on scriptwriting for all episodes.
- Production of music, sound effects, and obtaining any associated licenses.
- Mastering for dissemination on various outlets, including Estuario’s website, social media, podcast apps, etc.
Submittal Requirements
Submittals should include a cover letter indicating the contact information for the entity proposing, including:
- Key names of the team, including title and position.
- Contact information (telephone numbers, email addresses, and mailing addresses).
- Description of studio facilities and equipment available.
Proposals
Interested candidates should submit a complete, detailed response addressing the scope of service as outlined above. Submittals should be organized in a clear and concise manner within a single electronic binder. The format for the submittal should be as follows:
- Proposer’s Profile: Provide a description of proposer’s track record, including number of years in business, remote capability, organizational structure (e.g., corporation, partnership, sole practitioner, etc.), areas of expertise, etc.
- Key Personnel: Provide a summary description of the key personnel who will be involved in this project, their roles and responsibilities, and their experience in similar past projects.
- Examples of Similar Work Produced or Services Rendered: Include a summary describing at least one (1) relevant past project. These examples should include a summary of each project and a sample of media.
- Appendix/Portfolio: Applicants may provide a portfolio of work to highlight the proposer’s past work as it applies to this proposed project. Applicants may also use this section to provide any additional information regarding qualifications or methods relevant to this project (for example, a description of the studio with available resources).
- Cost Summary: Include a detailed summary of costs broken down into product and service costs, including all other costs pertinent to the elements required for the podcast.

Evaluation
All applicants will be evaluated and rated based on their demonstrated capability and experience in providing the scope of service(s) to an organization. Incomplete proposals will be disqualified. A panel will review how closely an applicant’s proposal meets the expectations in the following areas:
