Open Virtual Meeting – Citizen Participation Opportunities & Projects for 2021

Estuario invites the public to join an open meeting at 6PM on February 18, 2021 through Zoom. We will present the planned and scheduled projects for the year 2021, which will provide opportunities for public participation, capacity building, personal betterment and community organization. These projects would not be possible without the participation and support of stakeholders, community leaders, citizen scientists and volunteers throughout the SJBE watershed.

International Day of Women and Girls in Science

This International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we wish to congratulate all the young Scouts who have participated in Estuario’s Merit Badge program, Estuary Guardians through participating schools, teachers, collaborators, citizen scientists and volunteers who continuously support our efforts. Also, to all the women who work in this organization and stand out daily through their commitment for the restoration and conservation of the SJBE ecosystems, congratulations!

Great Backyard Bird Count

Join Estuario this weekend in the observation and counting of birds within the San Juan Bay Estuary Watershed this weekend. Join the Great Backyard Bird Count with other participants throughout Puerto Rico and the World. The process is straightforward: watch birds for at least 15 minutes and report your findings through eBird.

Request for Proposal: Boat Trips for Scientific Investigation

Join the Water Community Network

Since its beginnings, participating neighbors and leaders for the Network have proven instrumental in the execution of restoration projects, as well as the formation of resilient communities within the San Juan Bay Estuary Watershed.
