Other activities
On December 12, the Estuario’s Coastal Resilience Coordinator, Andreína Alexatos, led a group of citizen scientists in a mangrove seed collection event, carried out in the Piñones State Forest. Harvests like this provide us with the seedlings we plant, to restore the green infrastructure that protects our coasts and the communities that inhabit them. Shoutout to the volunteers!
Weekly water quality monitoring
Evaluation conducted on Thursday, January 4, 2024. We have a GREEN flag for the Condado Lagoon Natural Estuarine Reserve. We recommend avoiding the areas that exceeded the Beach Action Value water quality standard of 70 CFU/100 ML. Remember to avoid bodies of water during rain events. Have a nice weekend!
