Call for collaborators for the Water Quality Day of Puerto Rico
Since 2009, Water Quality Day has brought together scientific citizens throughout the island to evaluate water bodies and raise awareness about the importance of conserving our rivers, lakes, lagoons and beaches.
On the way to the next Water Quality Day of Puerto Rico, the SJBEP is recruiting collaborators to facilitate training workshops, deliver materials to participants and conduct monitoring in spaces open to the public. Join as a collaborator! We will have an orientation meeting for collaborators on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
The seventeenth Water Quality Day of Puerto Rico will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. General registration will open in March 2025.

Weekly water quality monitoring
Evaluation carried out on Thursday, January 2, 2025. We have a GREEN flag for the Condado Lagoon. All monitoring stations resulted below the Beach Action Value water quality parameter of 70 CFU/100 ML. Remember to avoid the water during precipitation events.
