On Saturday, September 16, 2023, we joined the International Coastal Cleanup of 2023, an effort led locally by Scuba Dogs Society, with our collection stations in the Condado Lagoon Natural Estuarine Reserve.
We thank the 80 volunteers and entities that accompanied us: Municipality of San Juan, Amigos de la Laguna, Los Tsunamis group, schools: Cupeyville, St. Johns, Robinson, La Central, School of Mathematical Sciences and Technology San Juan, Papa Juan 23, Bayamón, Juan Ponce de León and Adianez de Guaynabo, PRWEA- PUPR, IIAM, Swana Caribbean, and CESAM.
We collected a total of 40 bags, equivalent to 373.41 lbs. and about 2,800 items.
