Gamaliel Pagán Hernández Christmas Bird Count
The Gamaliel Pagán Hernández Christmas Bird Counts continue! Explore the endemic and migratory species of the ecosystems connected to the San Juan Bay Estuary. There are still spaces available: Censuses continue through Thursday, January 5, 2023. Find your favorite date/location and register today: https://estuario.org/events/.
Weekly water quality monitoring
Evaluation conducted Thursday, December 15, 2022. We have a GREEN flag in the Condado Lagoon Natural Estuarine Reserve and monitored beaches. We recommend, however, avoiding direct contact with water bodies during rainy events and at least 48 hours after.
The actions for the restoration and management of bodies of water within the San Juan Bay Estuary Watershed are possible thanks to the public. Donations to the San Juan Bay Estuary Program are deductible from Puerto Rico and US tax returns.
