Intern: Sjbe Risk & Vulnerability Assessment Report 2019

The San Juan Bay Estuary Program (Estuario) is seeking advance undergraduates, recent graduates and/or graduate school enrolled students to assist as Estuario Intern in the development of a vulnerability assessment report for the San Juan Bay Estuary.

The San Juan Bay Estuary Program (Estuario) is seeking advance undergraduates, recent graduates and/or graduate school enrolled students to assist as Estuario Intern in the development of a vulnerability assessment report for the San Juan Bay Estuary. This report titled “SJBE Risk & Vulnerability Assessment Report 2019”) will offer a comprehensive view of the social, economic, physical, biological, and chemical conditions of the San Juan Bay Estuary system and its watershed after hurricane María.

The Estuario Interns will perform the following tasks:

a) Review, analyze, and compile local studies and research relevant to the SJBE Risk & Vulnerability Assessment Report 2019;

b) Coordinate and document meetings with the Estuario’s stakeholders (committees, coastal managers, and experts, scientists, social scientists, and community leaders) to discuss observations, findings, and recommendations;

c) Perform data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.

d) Complete written and verbal comprehension of both English and Spanish

There are three (3) internships available of $5,000 each ($14.97/hour for 334 hours per intern).
