Estuary Plan Review
The documents for the new Estuary Plan are ready. Review them, join the discussion, and comment.
Every 10 years, the San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership brings together its partners and communities in the region to refresh the Estuary Plan to advance the mission of restoring and conserving the water quality of the San Juan Bay Estuary ecosystem as a sustainable driver of social and economic development.
On April 15, 2026, the approval process for the drafts of the five (5) action plans of the Estuary Plan was completed. The public hearing was held on June 16, 2026, and with that, the public comment period for those documents ended. However, we have extended this period for an additional 45 days, until July 30, 2026.
We will be receiving comments on the four (4) supporting documents for the Plan until August 11, 2026.
