Mission: To restore and conserve the water quality of the San Juan Bay Estuary ecosystem as a sustainable axis for social and economic development and for environmental health.
Vision: The San Juan Bay Estuary serves as a trusted, science-based, regional entity supported by active stakeholders to catalyze and facilitate the restoration and maintenance of clean waters that support healthy tropical ecosystems, healthy communities, and a vibrant economy in the San Juan Bay Estuary and its urbanized watershed.
Our organization consists of the Management Conference, the San Juan Bay Estuary Conservation Corporation, and its scientific, technical, and citizen advisory committees.

Our team
The executive director and staff facilitate the implementation of the San Juan Bay Estuary Comprehensive Management and Conservation Plan (Estuary Plan) and produce related documents, such as annual budgets and work plans, which are approved by both the Board of Directors and the Management Conference. Staff maintain a collaborative relationship with communities and organizations in the region to promote their participation in efforts to fulfill the Estuary's mission.
