JULIO ENRIQUE MONAGAS NATIONAL PARK
About this forest:
Julio Enrique Monagas National Park is located in the Bayamón industrial zone. Its infrastructure provides opportunities for birdwatching, research, flora and fauna surveys, planting, interpretive and historical tours, summer camps, and scouting activities. It features gazebos, swings, restrooms, trails, a children's playground, viewpoints, and water features. The Santa Ana Environmental Center is located within the park, offering educational programs on environmental appreciation, study, and conservation. It was established in 2006 through the vision of Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth, a forester by profession and a founding member of the Puerto Rico Natural History Society.
