STAKEHOLDER AND ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
Estuario is seeking qualified applicants for a Stakeholder and Engagement Coordinator to support the Estuario's efforts by ensuring proper and timely preparation, documentation, and follow-up to all stakeholder engagement efforts including meetings, activities, and other events.

PROJECT LEADER – COASTAL RESILIENCE
Estuary is looking to hire a Project Leader for the Citizen Scientists for Coastal Resilience project who will oversee the project, its team, and ensure its goals and objectives are met.

Resident artist of the Estuary
Join the artist Angelica Rivera in the realization of Mural with a conscience; a project where you will learn about and how to illustrate the species that inhabit the Estuarine Nature Reserve of the County Lagoon.
The project consists of three workshops, where you will create illustrations that will form part of a collaborative mural in Jaime Benítez Park. Below is information about the third and final workshop:

Certification of scientific citizens
Microplastics characterization and reduction module:

Last Friday, June 9th, we conducted coral monitoring in the waters of the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve as part of the coastal resilience module of the Estuary's Citizen Scientist Certification. A shout-out to the citizen scientists who joined us! See the photo gallery. here.
Also as part of the coastal resilience module, on Saturday, June 10, a mangrove planting was carried out at Crash Boat Beach, Aguadilla, in collaboration with Surfrider Puerto Rico. We planted 370 mangroves. There was also a trash cleanup in the area. Thanks to all the volunteers! See the photos. here.
Recycling stations at Tito Matos Fest 2023
On Saturday, June 10, Taller Comunidad La Goyco celebrated the second Tito Matos Fest, a commemoration of the life, work, music, art and community activism of Tito Matos.
In accordance with the solid waste management practices promoted by the campaign It should not touch the floor or reach the water, On Loíza Street, we set up several recycling stations on the event grounds. These stations were staffed by a group of 15 volunteers throughout the two days of the event.

Weekly bacteriological monitoring
Assessment conducted on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. We have a GREEN flag for the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve. We recommend avoiding areas that exceeded the water quality parameter for enterococci (70 CFU/100mL). Remember to avoid the water during rain events.
