Environmental Debate 2020
Last Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the Estuary joined 57 other organizations to learn about the environmental platforms of the candidates for governor of Puerto Rico in the 2020 Environmental Debate. If you missed it, you can access it HERE.
We are sharing our analysis of the 2020 Environmental Debate to continue the public discussion of environmental issues. We thank the following individuals for their participation: Ian Pagán, agronomist and farmer with the El Josco Bravo Agroecological Project and the Boricuá Agricultural Organization; Ariadna Godreau, human rights lawyer, professor, and writer for Legal Aid; Juan Rosario, environmental health expert, organizer of AMANESER 2025, and former public interest representative on the AEE Board of Directors; and Ruth Santiago, environmental and community lawyer and member of groups such as the Jobos Bay Ecodevelopment Initiative and El Puente, among others. Artist Estuary Resident
Meet the Estuary's newest Artist-in-Residence , Adriana García. We welcome her and hope this residency will benefit the estuary community. Watch her introductory video HERE.
Participate of the Housing Department's Mitigation Plan
The Estuary invites you to participate in the public hearings for the review of the Puerto Rico Mitigation Plan for the Community Development Block Grant in Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program.
Their participation will help direct the allocation of $8,000 billion to projects relevant to reducing vulnerabilities in communities across the Island.
