The Puerto Rico Department of Housing is preparing to hold public hearings to evaluate the first draft of the Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program.
The CDBG-MIT Action Plan provides direction for the creation and management of projects consistent with the guidelines of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and establishes an agenda for the use of an $8,000 billion allocation directed to natural disaster mitigation projects for the Island.

The Government of Puerto Rico needs to understand the perspectives of citizens and communities to guide the planning and evaluation processes of recovery programs toward initiatives that are useful and relevant to Puerto Rico's current situation. The public will be able to submit comments that will be shared and discussed during the public hearings.
