Resident Artist 2020

This Thursday, Estuary Resident Artist Adriana García offered her first workshop entitled “Drawing our surroundings: The brown pelican”Also meet Coral Avilés, Education Coordinator for the Estuary, who shared information about this species.

This is part of a series of educational workshops to create augmented reality filters for the community bordering the La Goyco Community Workshop, with the aim of raising awareness about the proper use and disposal of used cooking oil and the conservation of our natural resources.

Virtual Conference: Capetillo Community Garden, Nursery and Urban Forest; A look at academic, environmental and community management.

The Estuary participated in this conference today Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10am-12pm. The presentation highlighted the importance of the community garden as a space that provides professional and academic training experiences for students and volunteers, as well as its role in promoting community and environmental action in Río Piedras. Eliezer Nieves, Education Manager for the Estuary and Geography Professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (UPRRP), along with colleagues from the UPRRP, participated in the event.

Estuary Artist in Residence 2021

The Estuary invites you to participate in the informational meetings of Estuary Artists-in-Residence Program 2021. At these meetings you will be able to: learn about previous projects, clarify any doubts or questions about the application process, and meet the team leading this initiative.
