Through our weekly update, we share opportunities for collaboration, volunteering, and employment; through initiatives and planned actions that benefit the ecosystems and communities of the San Juan Bay estuary. These activities, tips, and information are for the benefit of everyone. 

Special screening at Estuary Cinema

In a special screening, Cine del Estuario presents Encanto; tomorrow, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 7 PM in Jaime Benítez Park at the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve. Bring your blanket or chair! This event is free.

Resident Artists Program

Estuario welcomes resident artist Joudy Santaliz and his sound project Cococomunidad; which applies blue economy strategies to maximize all the materials we can extract from the coconut, for the benefit of the residents of the Alto del Cabro community.

Weekly bacteriological monitoring

Assessment conducted on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. We have a green flag for the County Lagoon Estuarine Reserve. We recommend avoiding any contact with areas that did not meet quality standards and being alert for precipitation events.

Register now: Puerto Rico Water Quality Monitoring Day 2022

The time has come! Create your group, choose a monitoring point, and participate in the island's largest citizen science event: Puerto Rico Water Monitoring Day 2022 will be held on Saturday, August 27, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. How to participate?

  • Participate in the scheduled training workshops. There are virtual and in-person options. Choose your workshop and register. The next workshop is tomorrow, Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 10 AM to 11 AM via Zoom.
