Estuary Citizen Scientist Certification
We continue with the new round of elective workshops for the Estuary Citizen Scientist Certification. This coming Wednesday, August 18, 2021 , participate in the workshop " Microplastics: Research in the Estuary Basin " at 3 PM via Zoom.

Weekly water quality monitoring
We present the results of the weekly water quality monitoring, carried out on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. These are published every Friday on our Facebook page.
The samples were collected last Wednesday, August 11, 2021, the day before Tropical Storm Fred passed close by. Clouds associated with the system caused some rainfall in the metropolitan area. This, in turn, created runoff that carried contaminants to nearby bodies of water. On average, County Lagoon has high levels of fecal bacteria; therefore, we recommend avoiding recreational use of the water at this time.
