Environmental Debate

Estuario joined 57 other organizations in the development and celebration of Puerto Rico’s first environmentally-focused debate for governorship candidates, Debate Ambiental 2020, aimed at highlighting their respective environmental and natural resource platforms. It was broadcasted on Tuesday, October 6 2020 through Facebook Live and YouTube. You can view it HERE.

Estuario thanks the participation of Ian Pagán, agronomist and farmer of the agroecological project El Josco Bravo and the Boricuá Agriculture Organization, Ariadna Godreau, human rights lawyer, professor and writer at Ayuda Legal, Juan Rosario, expert in environmental health, organizer at AMANESER 2023 and ex-representative or public interest at PREPA’s Board of Directors, and Ruth Santiago, environmental & community lawyer and part of Bahía de Jobos and El Puente, among other organizations.

Call to Participation: CDBG-MIT Action Plan for Puerto Rico Draft Public Hearings

Estuario invites its public to participate of the Puerto Rico Department of Housing’s public hearings on its new CDBG-MIT Action Plan, which will allocate over $8 Billion for hazard mitigation projects in the Island. The first of 3 public hearings will be broadcasted virtually on Wednesday, October 14 2020.
