Water Quality Monitoring Day Update

Because of our current social-distancing paradigm, the sampling and data submittal timeline for the Water Quality Monitoring Day of Puerto Rico was extended through September 20, 2020. This week, Estuario published the COVID-19 Pandemic Protocol for the Water Quality Monitoring Day of Puerto Rico, which establishes procedures in accord with Executive Order 2020-062 and US CDC guidelines for community-based organizations dealing with volunteer mobilization. Turnout during the event’s first day was enthusiastic! 43 monitoring logs were submitted to our web page throughout the weekend. Our Citizen Scientists also shared photos of their monitoring procedures, which we proudly share with you:
