Media Coordinator
Tamaris leads the communications efforts for the San Juan Bay Estuary. Her responsibilities include creating strategic plans, organizing events, and managing media relations to raise awareness about the conservation of the water bodies that comprise the Estuary; she also seeks volunteer support and strategic partnerships.
Tamaris is a licensed Public Relations Professional (R-862) with extensive experience in the field of communications. She holds a Master's degree in Public Relations. She is an expert in crisis management, media relations, international relations, and corporate communications. She has worked in industries such as healthcare, banking, tourism, hospitality, the environment, and gastronomy, among others. She has developed a network of key professional contacts that allows her to forge important alliances that benefit all parties involved.
From La Fortaleza, he worked on and supported the efforts of the Special Communities Trust. Additionally, at the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, he led public relations efforts related to managing the Zika virus crisis and the decline in occupancy due to tourism on the island. He also participated in communication efforts regarding the first liver transplant in Puerto Rico.
She recently served as Director of Communications and Public Relations for the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, where she gained experience in managing projects and communities.
She currently belongs to the Puerto Rico Association of Professional Public Relations Practitioners (ARPPR) and works as an independent consultant in the professional field.
