Last Saturday, August 5th, we had our family day out at the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve. During the event, we held a mangrove monitoring activity for young people, installed nine plant identification signs by Eagle Scout Joaquín Pérez of Troop XXV in Bayamón, led an ethnobotany workshop, gave an Olympic wrestling demonstration, unveiled the Mural with Awareness by resident artist Angélica Rivera, and finally, enjoyed the Estuary Cinema screening, which was attended by 76 people.
We thank all the participants who joined us for this family outing and all our collaborators: The Estuary Coastal Resilience Team, Eagle Scout Joaquín Pérez, his family and members of Troop XXV of Bayamón, the Tras Talleres Hurricanes Olympic Wrestling Team , with their coach Mabel Fonceca, José Ramos, administrator of Jaime Benítez Park, Lara Medina, coordinator of the resident artist program, Angélica Rivera, our resident artist and Gostosos products for being present and delighting us with their delicious food.
Until next time!
