National pathway day

Saturday, June 5, 2021 — On this National Trails Day, we invite you to visit and responsibly enjoy the trails available through the Estuary Urban Forest Network . Visiting a trail is a recreational and exploratory activity for the whole family.

Using sidewalks can bring health benefits. Exercises like walking or running can reduce blood pressure, increase bone density, and reduce tension and anxiety.

The trails also offer opportunities to explore new areas that are inaccessible by road. This allows for a closer interaction with nature.

The paths and their use contribute to conserving biodiversity and natural spaces, such as wetlands, by making them visible and accessible for the passive enjoyment of citizens.

Finally, the trails bring economic benefits to the communities by serving as a source of tourism, allowing people to visit other places of interest and small businesses in the area. They also provide opportunities for small businesses, such as offering guided tours along the trails.

Visiting the paths of your community
