Sound art seminar
In July 2023, as part of his artist residency, The Sounds of the Estuary, Armando Román organized a sound art seminar that brought together five artists from different sound-related disciplines—Rosamalia Pérez, Diego Sotomayor, Enrique Álvarez, Miguel Muñoz, and Juan Rosa—to reflect on sound documentation and create sound art pieces from their own field recordings. Each piece imagines a world or a sonic narrative with sounds recorded in the San Juan Bay Estuary, demonstrating that documentation is a source of creativity as well as a gateway to the past.
Each song was conceived by Rosamalia Pérez, Diego Sotomayor, Enrique Álvarez, Miguel Muñoz, and Juan Rosa, the five artists who participated in the sound art seminar "The Sounds of the Estuary." Mastered by Armando Román.
