CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT SERVICES: VIVEROESTUARIO® ESTUARY COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
Description:
The San Juan Bay Estuary National Program (Estuary) is seeking professional services to participate in the management and maintenance efforts of ViveroEstario® in the Loíza area of Puerto Rico. Community resilience preserves open spaces for passive recreation, cultivation, and spiritual leisure, as defined by residents. This position will be overseen by the San Juan Bay Estuary.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the person offering these services will be as follows:
• Garden development
• Sowing and reproduction of seeds
• Maintenance of potted plants and green areas
• Pruning of trees and shrubs
• Maintain irrigation systems
• Operate green area tools
• Carry out assigned tasks
The skills required for the service must be the following:
• Knowledge about coastal plants
• Skill in maintaining green areas
• Knowledge of nursery maintenance
• General knowledge of weed management
• General knowledge of pest and insect management
• Experience working with community leaders in the metropolitan area of Puerto Rico
Abilities:
• Ability to adapt to unusual situations.
• Flexible in developing action plans
• Passion for their work and achieving change
