PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The San Juan Bay Estuary Program (Estuary) is seeking a professional graphic artist to assist in the design of the agency's new license plate. The graphic artist will be responsible for developing the artwork. The artwork should support our focus on raising awareness about the conservation of the water bodies surrounding the San Juan Bay Estuary system.
Estuary seeks to link this awareness-raising effort with value-added initiatives, leveraging existing synergies to enhance effectiveness. Therefore, the graphic artist will be evaluated based on the added value they can offer. Specifically, the contractor will be consulted by Estuary during the design development process for an awareness campaign focused on water conservation.
The contractor must be available to start the project on June 1, 2021 and complete their product by September 30, 2021.
TASKS TO PERFORM:
- Create and edit the design that will be used for the new Estuary sign and that will be delivered to the Department of Transportation and Public Works for the corresponding action.
- Support the Estuary in designing an awareness campaign on the conservation of bodies of water
- Concept creation
- Art designs
- Support in public service efforts with media outlets
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Artistic merit (portfolio)
- Proficient in the following programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or equivalent
- Experience in educational campaigns
- Flexible, positive attitude, focused on finding solutions and a desire to achieve results
- Ability to work through stipulated deadlines
- Capacity for teamwork
- Bilingual spelling and pronunciation (English and Spanish)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge, passion and interest in environmental issues and community development
- Preferably a resident of the San Juan metropolitan area
- Having the necessary equipment to perform the assigned tasks
- Available for the established period: June to September 2021.
- Work efficiently remotely
COMPENSATION:
The contract compensation will be discussed and determined based on the candidate's credentials and experience.
