Our Christmas Bird Count coincides with the Audubon Society's annual Christmas Bird Count , a nationwide effort that has been conducted for 122 years. This census takes place between December 14th and January 5th each year to assess the health of bird populations and help guide conservation efforts.
For safety reasons, we will be limiting each bird census to 10 spaces. We encourage you to register for a maximum of two of the available dates this season.
We remind you that to complete the Citizen Scientist Certification in the Participatory Bird Census Module, you must participate in two bird censuses and have taken two workshops: one introductory and one elective.
