Our Christmas bird census is conducted in keeping with the celebration of Audubon Society's Christmas Bird CountThis effort has been underway at the United States level for 122 years. It involves conducting censuses among the December 14 and January 5 each year to assess the health of bird populations and help guide actions for their conservation.
For safety reasons, we will be limiting each bird census to 10 spaces. We encourage you to register for a maximum of two of the available dates this season.
We remind you that to complete the Citizen Scientist Certification at the Participatory Bird Census Module must participate in 2 bird censuses and have taken two workshops, one introductory and one elective. You can find more information about the certification process at https://estuario.org/ccc/.
