Greetings from the estuary! Through our weekly update, we share scheduled events and opportunities for collaboration, training, and volunteering that benefit the San Juan Bay estuary, its ecosystems, and communities.

Family Day Out

Don't miss the next Family Day Trip to the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve on Saturday, November 2, 2024. We will have the following activities:

Resident Artists of the Estuary

The orientation meeting for the opportunity to participate as Estuary Artists-in-Residence in 2025 is on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm via Zoom. Technical Support Consultant —The San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership (Estuario) seeks qualified applicants to provide services as a Technical Support Consultant to support Estuario's water quality monitoring and related efforts through technical support, data management, and visualization.

Communications Consultant (Support) — The San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership (Estuario) is seeking a qualified applicant to support the Communications team and execute the Estuario's social media strategy by creating graphic design, video, and written content that can be used for other digital platforms.

Community Facilitator (RFP) —The San Juan Bay Estuary Partnership (Estuary) seeks qualified applicants to provide services as a Community Facilitator in the Juan Méndez Creek (JMC) Restoration Project.

ESTUARY RESIDENT ARTIST — The Estuary Resident Artist will focus his proposal along the Juan Méndez ravine in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Weekly bacteriological monitoring

Assessment conducted on Thursday, October 24, 2024. We have a GREEN flag for County Lagoon. All stations tested within the Beach Action Value water quality parameter of 70 CFU/100 ML. However, we recommend avoiding the water during rain events. Have a great weekend!
