Greetings from the estuary! Through our weekly update, we share upcoming collaboration opportunities and actions taken to benefit the waters and communities connected to the San Juan Bay estuary.
Multijurisdictional Risk Mitigation Plan: Presentations of the results of the risk assessment of the San Juan metropolitan region
Presentations of the results of the risk assessment for the San Juan metropolitan area continue, as part of the development of the first Multijurisdictional Risk Mitigation Plan in Puerto Rico. We thank the friends and collaborators who attended the meetings in Trujillo Alto, Toa Baja, and San Juan.

Loíza: Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 5:00 pm at the Gregorio “Goyín” Lanzó Cirino Community Center, Parcelas Suárez
We will soon be sharing the date, time, and location of the presentations with the municipalities of Canóvanas y Guaynabo.

Weekly bacteriological monitoring
Assessment conducted on Thursday, October 9, 2025. We have a GREEN flag for County Lagoon. We recommend avoiding areas that exceeded the water quality parameter for enterococci Beach Action Value of 70 CFU/100 ML. Remember to avoid the water during rain events.
