This week we're sharing opportunities for collaboration, volunteering, and employment through initiatives and actions that benefit the ecosystems of the San Juan Bay estuary and its communities. These activities, tips, and information are for everyone's benefit. Look for new job openings below.
Join the Giving tuesday with the Estuary
On Tuesday, November 30, we commemorated Giving Tuesday 2021, and we dedicated it to our Resilient Centers. Your contribution will help strengthen communities in the watershed by supporting the growth of these centers. You will be helping us acquire essential equipment: solar panels, emergency supplies, materials for community gardens, water quality monitoring kits, and plants for planting. No matter the amount, you will become part of an empowered community, allies in the restoration and protection of the interconnected waterways of the San Juan Bay estuary watershed.

Request for Proposals — Estuary Resident Artists
In 2022, another artist-in-residence season will begin, creating sustainable solutions for ecosystem protection and restoration, economic development, and the cultural celebration of communities in the Estuary watershed. We are seeking artists to develop two projects focused on climate change adaptation and the integration of blue economy initiatives.

Weekly water quality monitoring
Below, we share the results of the weekly bacteriological monitoring, carried out on Thursday, November 18, 2021. These results are also published through our social media channels.
We continue to have a green flag for the County Lagoon Estuarine Reserve. Remember that precipitation events can influence the presence of bacteria in aquatic ecosystems.
