Greetings to our entire estuary community. We send you our warmest regards and hope you are well as you receive this email. We are sharing these initiatives and actions carried out week after week. These activities, tips, and information are for the benefit of all.
Last Tuesday, September 7, 2021, we celebrated West Indian Manatee Day (Trichechus manatus) , honoring one of the most emblematic species of the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve, protected by law and designated as the official mammal of Puerto Rico. We invite you to be responsible and mindful of this species. Let's take care of it! We share this commemorative video.
Workshops: Identify Capabilities in Your Community
The series of workshops continues to identify capacities for the development of the Risk and Vulnerability Mitigation Plan for the communities of the San Juan Bay Estuary watershed.
These training workshops aim to show you how to identify the skills, resources, attributes, and strengths that make your community more resilient to disasters. They are divided by municipality for your convenience, including the communities of San Juan, Toa Baja, Cataño, Bayamón, Trujillo Alto, Carolina, Loíza, Guaynabo, and Canóvanas. Weekly water quality monitoring

Barrio Obrero Agro-Artisanal Market for you
This Sunday, September 12, 2021, visit our information table at the Barrio Obrero community market. It's held every second Sunday of the month, from 10 AM to 4 PM , on Haydee Rexach Avenue at the corner of Ponce de León Avenue (across from the Sagrado Corazón Train Station).
