Greetings to our entire estuary community. We send you our warmest regards and hope you are well as you receive this email. We are sharing these initiatives and actions carried out week after week. These activities, tips, and information are for the benefit of all.
Weekly water quality monitoring

Learn about the Estuary Mitigation Plan
We thank all the citizens, collaborators, and leaders who contributed to the asset identification process in our estuarine communities. Their input will help us build a stronger and better-prepared Metropolitan Area.
For those who did not have the opportunity to participate, we shared an informative video version of the training talk for the identification of community assets, by the development of the Estuary Risk Mitigation Plan.
We share with you this informative series about risk mitigation, the importance of establishing a risk mitigation plan to strengthen your community, and the benefits of collaborative and multi-jurisdictional development, prioritizing geographic areas over political boundaries.

The Estuary Resident Artists continue
The resident artists of the Estuary continue their projects through the estuarine communities.
Oscar Meléndez, with his Community Graphic Portfolio project, works with young people from the Barrio Obrero Marina community in the Caño Martín Peña, creating workshops on screen printing and its possible uses in order to learn more about the fauna and flora in the Caño and how to protect them, creating educational signs on the management of solid waste.
From the Falansterio in Puerta de Tierra, artists Juan Climent and Zuleyka Alejandro use materials like cardboard and paper donated by the community to lead workshops on creating papier-mâché furniture and artifacts. They help the community use their creativity while learning how to reuse their solid waste.
