Weekly water quality monitoring

Puerto Rico Water Quality Monitoring Day 2021

Be part of this effort! Don't forget to register for the island's largest citizen science event. Puerto Rico's Water Quality Monitoring Day will be on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Participate in one of the training workshops for Puerto Rico Water Quality Monitoring Day (DMCAPR) . The next training workshop will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, via Zoom. The DMCAPR 2021 training workshops will explain the preparation protocols, use of monitoring kits, and data collection and submission procedures to be followed before, during, and after the event.

Conversation: Resilient Centers of Puerto Rico

The Segarra Boerman & Sons Foundation invites you to its first Facebook Live event about the emergence of Resilient Community Centers in Puerto Rico. This coming Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 12:00 PM , learn how these centers reduce vulnerability in more than 70 communities across Puerto Rico. Representatives from the Segarra Boerman & Sons Foundation, Brenda Torres, Executive Director of the Estuary, and Attorney Fernando Lloveras, President of Para la Naturaleza, will discuss the challenges they currently face and their future plans for expanding their offerings.

Estuary Citizen Scientist Certification

Save the dates: Wednesdays, August 4, 11, and 18, 2021. The next round of elective workshops for the Citizen Scientist Certification is coming soon. These workshops will be part of the elective modules for Water Quality Monitoring, Participatory Bird Censuses, and Microplastic Characterization and Reduction.
