Estuary Update
Through our weekly update, we share opportunities for collaboration, volunteering, and employment; through initiatives and planned actions that benefit the ecosystems and communities of the San Juan Bay estuary. These activities, tips, and information are for the benefit of everyone.
Today, Friday, April 22, 2022, is the Earth Day! We thank all the citizens and collaborators who have supported the activities scheduled this week. Together we can raise awareness and create spaces to promote conservation and restoration strategies.
Participatory bird censuses
We still have spaces available for the participatory bird census this Sunday, April 24, 2022 From the 7AM at the Rio Piedras Botanical Garden. Register today through our events portal.
Beyond Plastic
Environmental justice and the changes needed to achieve it begin in our communities. Therefore, we invite you to a training session covering the current state of the plastic waste crisis on the island, what you need to know to take action, the measures that have been taken from a public policy perspective, and the platform created by established stakeholders. It will be offered on two dates. Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Both dates will have the same workshop.
