Estuary Update
A warm embrace from the estuaries! This past Tuesday, March 8th, we celebrated International Women's Day. Once again, we dedicate it to all the community leaders, collaborators, citizen scientists, and volunteers committed to the health of estuarine ecosystems and environmental justice in their communities. Congratulations!
Strategies for collaboration with communities
We are holding meetings at the Resilient Centers in the San Juan Bay Estuary watershed. Their purpose is to create collaborative strategies to benefit the health and environmental justice of estuarine communities. All citizens are welcome to participate. Save the date—Friends of the Lagoon
The community group Friends of the Lagoon will meet to discuss conservation actions for the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Reserve on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 6 PM. Stay tuned to our social media for more information.
Weekly Water Quality Monitoring
Results of the assessment conducted on Thursday, March 10, 2022. We continue to maintain a green flag status for the County Lagoon Estuarine Reserve. We have reported one area with a red flag, so we recommend avoiding recreational use in that area and being alert for precipitation events.
