Shoutout to our estuarine citizen scientists! Thank you to all those who joined us in the last field trip for the certification of citizen scientists (CCC) participatory bird census module.
STEM Summer Camp Students Visit Laguna del Condado
An estuarine shoutout to the young students of the Ana G. Méndez University STEM Summer Camp! On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, as part of their educational curriculum, they conducted water quality monitoring, mangrove growth measurement, bird censuses, and microplastic characterization and quantification in the Laguna del Condado Estuarine Reserve.

Gather your group and choose a body of water to participate in the largest citizen science event of the Island: the Water Quality Monitoring Day of Puerto Rico 2022 will be on Saturday, August 27, from 9:00AM-11:00AM. Weekly Water Quality Monitoring
Evaluación realizada el jueves, 16 de junio de 2022. Continuamos con bandera verde en la Reserva Estuarina de la Laguna del Condado, aunque hay una zona en la laguna que no pasó los estándares de monitoreo. Hay otras dos zonas con bandera roja en el litoral, por lo que recomendamos evitar estas áreas y estar atentos a cualquier evento de precipitación.
