ABSTRACT:
The San Juan Bay Estuary Program is seeking to hire four (4) social workers for a defined period from January 28, 2019, to March 6, 2019. You will be supporting the development of resilient districts through community centers located in Cataño and San Juan. Your support will consist of analyzing, advising, coordinating, and managing community support and leadership empowerment in areas identified by the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate workshops on emergency management, mental health, and water quality.
- Coordinate and implement character and leadership development programs.
- Establish partnerships with universities and other institutions to support the community.
- Coordinate efforts related to the identification of illegal downloads and ways to mitigate the impact.
- Coordinate resident case management, including support networks, professional assistance, and case-related reports.
- To serve as a link between the community and the social and health services offered by the municipality and the Government of Puerto Rico
- Prepare weekly reports on the work performed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited university. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in case management, guidance, and counseling. Owning a car and a computer.
Job type: Full-time, five-week fixed-term position. Work is conducted from community centers within each community. Active participation within the community is required for coordination and empowerment.

BUDGET:
The contract compensation is $20 per hour for a total of 200 hours.
