Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5, 2021 — Juan Climent and Zuleyka Alejandro, resident artists at the Estuary, held the final workshops of their project, Creative Recycling at the Phalanstery. Six young people from the community attended along with their parents. The project consisted of raising awareness about recycling processes through a series of workshops on creating furniture and artifacts using papier-mâché and cardboard. Through these workshops, the artists sought to help the community reuse its solid waste through creativity. See the photo gallery below:
