The Estuary invites you to participate and collaborate in the Community Water Network (RCA); an initiative represented by leaders and residents of the communities located within the San Juan Bay Estuary watershed.
This endeavor is constantly evolving, through the recruitment of new members and their organization based on sub-basins, communities of origin, and environmental commitments. The Estuary thanks each of the residents and leaders who have participated since its inception. They have been instrumental in the restoration projects and the development of resilient communities in the San Juan Bay Estuary watershed.
The RCA identifies environmental problems and is part of the development of programmatic projects for the Estuary, including, in this coming year 2021, the first Multijurisdictional Risk Mitigation Plan at the river basin level, the Detection and Correction of Illegal Downloads in bodies of water and the development of Master Plan of Green Infrastructure. Estuarine communities have experience responding to emergencies, thanks to their organization, training, and use of sustainable tools. We are seeking residents and communities from the towns of Bayamón, Canóvanas, Carolina, Cataño, Guaynabo, Loíza, San Juan, Toa Baja, and Trujillo Alto.
You are key For this administration. Join us and participate in personal and professional development activities, community and environmental improvement. Let's build a resilient estuary!
