- In collaboration with Friends of the Lagoon.
- Approximately 50 participants, including activities, workshops and visitors to the Estuarine Nature Reserve of the County Lagoon.
As a key feature of the San Juan Estuary and a prime example of natural resilience, the Reserve served as a residence and meeting point for this project. Knowledge of the diverse flora and fauna was integrated into the creative process of creating a mural in the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve.
The project also aimed to create a sense of belonging, and in turn, develop creative skills through observation, appreciation, conceptualization and execution by its participants.
These exercises would serve as inspiration for the creation of a mural located in the Rowing Federation building in Jaime Benítez Park.
Through three art workshops, the participation of professionals in botany and marine biologists was integrated, and then drawing techniques were addressed.
The project emphasized the use of observation and the activation of our senses as a great learning power.
