Workshop Series: From Reality to Augmented Reality
Today, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 , Estuary Resident Artist Adriana García conducted the workshop "Drawing Our Environment: The Mangrove" via Facebook Live. This workshop is part of a series of training sessions aimed at developing our own illustrated augmented reality filter, from the initial drawings to their integration into the Spark AR platform.
The upcoming workshops, focused on digitizing images created in the drawing workshops, will be held via Zoom. To register for the workshops " Conceptualizing and Digitizing an Illustration" and "Spark AR: Creating a Basic Filter," click HERE.

Applications are still being accepted for the 2021 Estuary Artist-in-Residence Program
The Estuary invites you to participate in the information sessions for the 2021 Estuary Artist-in-Residence Program. At these sessions, you will be able to: learn about past projects, clarify any doubts or questions you may have about the application process, and meet the team leading this initiative. Set aside the date
Participate in the Puerto Rico Watersheds Symposium 2020, on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, via ZOOM.
The symposium will emphasize the relevance of sustainable planning, based on the geographical framework of watersheds, and the benefits of its implementation in Puerto Rico.
Special guest Dr. Thomas H. Douthat, from the Department of Environmental Sciences at Louisiana State University, USA, will speak about integrated watershed management actions in Louisiana and share his perspectives for Puerto Rico.
Co-sponsored by the San Juan Bay Estuary, the Center for Landscape Conservation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Puerto Rico Institute for Water Resources and Environmental Research, and the Puerto Rican Planning Society.
