Greetings from the estuary! Through our weekly update, we share upcoming opportunities for participation and actions taken to benefit the waters and communities connected to the San Juan Bay estuary.
Family day out
Join us for the next Family Day Out at the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve on Saturday, November 1, 2025, starting at 4:00 pm at Jaime Benítez Park. We'll have educational activities for the whole family and opportunities to earn Green Touch hours or community service. See the scheduled activities at [website address missing]. estuary.org/events.

Estuary Cinema
Estuary Cinema presents: Superman; Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 7:00 pm at Jaime Benítez Park in the Condado Lagoon Estuarine Nature Reserve. The film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. This screening is free. No registration is required. Bring your blanket or chair!

Weekly bacteriological monitoring
Assessment conducted on Thursday, October 23, 2025. We have a RED flag for County Lagoon. We recommend avoiding areas that exceeded the water quality parameter for enterococci of 70 CFU/100 ML. Remember to avoid the water during rain events.
