Support the Estuary with your refund

This new tax filing season, we encourage you to donate part of your refund to conservation and management efforts for the ecosystems of the San Juan Bay estuary.

Partners who wish to contribute to these efforts can do so by donating all or part of their reimbursement directly from their individual payroll account. This method is made possible by Law 48 of 2009, which established the Special Fund for the San Juan Bay Estuary.

Look for the option “Contribution to the Special Fund for the San Juan Bay Estuary”, which you will find on line 1B of the “Reimbursement” box of your form.

Our restoration, conservation, and management efforts are made possible by the donations, collaboration, and volunteer work of residents, businesses, institutions, and friends of the interconnected waterways that comprise the San Juan Bay Estuary watershed. The San Juan Bay Estuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that designs, implements, and monitors restoration efforts to improve water quality and associated ecosystems within the San Juan Bay estuary system and its watershed.
