To all our volunteers, collaborators, supporters, and the entire estuary community, we hope you are well as you receive this email. We hope you and your families are safe after the storm. The Estuary invites you to participate in the following activities scheduled for next week. We are also sharing the initiatives and actions carried out this week. Estuary Citizen Scientist Workshops
Next Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:00 PM We look forward to seeing you via the Zoom platform. Workshop for Citizen Scientists: Laws and regulations that protect our biodiversity and its habitats. Accompanying them are Education Coordinator Coral Avilés Santiago, and Education Manager Eliezer Nieves Rodríguez, along with special guest Ramón L. Rivera Lebrón, Wildlife Biologist from the Terrestrial Ecology Division, and Leader of the Technical Assistance Project for Habitat Conservation in PR of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA).

El Puerto Rico Water Quality Monitoring Day It is approaching, for the 29th August 2020. Adopt a body of water and participate in the island's largest citizen science event. This past Wednesday, July 29, we offered a Training Workshop for the 2020 Water Quality Monitoring Day. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about this event through our social media platforms.

The Estuary continues to educate the public. This time, we share another physical activity video. We present basic information and examples to encourage the development of fine motor skills in our little ones. Take care of yourself, your family, and your community.
This week we shared essential tools for preparing for natural disasters through our social media platforms. We shared emergency contact information and basic items to include in your emergency kit. We also emphasized the importance of creating a family communication plan for emergencies. Additionally, we shared the Estuary Community Hurricane Preparedness Guide, which you can download. HERE
