Workshop Series: From Reality to Augmented Reality

Today November 25 Wednesday of 2020, The Estuary's Resident Artist, Adriana García, conducted the workshop Drawing our environment: The mangrove, via Facebook Live. This workshop is part of a series of training workshops, aimed at developing our own illustrated augmented reality filter, from its drawings to its assembly on the Spark AR platform.

Applications are still being accepted for the 2021 Estuary Artist-in-Residence Program

The Estuary invites you to participate in the informational meetings of Artists Program Estuary Residents 2021. At these information sessions, you'll be able to: learn about previous projects, get answers to your questions about the application process, and meet the team leading this initiative. Participate in Puerto Rico Watersheds Symposium 2020, Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, via ZOOM. 

The symposium will emphasize the relevance of sustainable planning, based on the geographical framework of watersheds, and the benefits of its implementation in Puerto Rico. 

Special guest Dr. Thomas H. Douthat, from the Department of Environmental Sciences at Louisiana State University, USA, will speak about integrated watershed management actions in Louisiana and share his perspectives for Puerto Rico.

Co-sponsored by the San Juan Bay Estuary Program, the Center for Landscape Conservation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Puerto Rico Institute for Water Resources and Environmental Research, and the Puerto Rican Planning Society.
